Meet Matt

A few years ago, Matt experienced some things in his personal life that made him realize that he had taken a road that focused solely on personal gratification. On July 6th, 2008 he decided to push aside material goals. He slowly got involved in charity work in San Diego and when moved back to Reno in 2009, his charity work took on a life of its own.

Matt is a lawyer and partner at the Digesti Law Firm in Reno, Nevada with his father, Larry Digesti.  During law school, Matthew clerked in the civil, criminal, and Special Prosecution’s Divisions at the U.S. Attorney's Office.  After graduation, Matt clerked for Justice James W. Hardesty at the Nevada Supreme Court. He has experience in the court room litigating personal injury cases and business disputes as well as advising businesses on day-to-day operations, including legal counsel on intellectual property transactions involving athletes and celebrities such as Kobe Bryant, Chris Daughtry, Paul Oakenfold, and T-Pain.

Matt is involved with Think Kindness as more then its attorney.  In addition to making 2010’s trip to Kenya, Matt raised funds to help ship hundreds of shoes to needy children and purchase over 1,000 chickens to help place more protein in the children’s diets.  “I can tell you that seeing a child smile because you gave them their first pair of new shoes beats graduating law school, passing the bar exam, or any victory I have ever had in a court room. You can’t compare the two because in the scheme of things, one feeling is timeless while the other simply fades.” Says Matt.
